See that picture at the top of this website? I consider that dawn. Sunrise. Certainly not sunset. And here is the reason I chose it:
I thought I was retired. But, this recession had a different idea. The market hit me hard and at the same time, some of my adult children needed help.
What to do? This was certainly not the time to start looking for a new job. No one going to hire a retired person, that was for sure.
So I took stock of what I have. A computer; some business experience; before that, teaching experience; and before that, a good education. Oh, also, good health and enough clothes to last the rest of my life.
But, just because I own a computer does not mean that I could do much on it at that time. E-mail, sure. A bit of surfing. Not much else. It was intimidating. Dealing with Tech persons could almost reduce me to tears. But, it was what I had. So I decided I had to become friends with my computer. (We are doing much better, but I wouldn’t call us BFF, yet!) And …
I set out to learn how to make an income online.
I did not become an overnight sensation. Not even an over-the- first year sensation. Actually there’s been nothing sensational at all, yet.
But, what there has been, once I found Wealthy Affiliate University, is enough to support me, to help the kids now and then, and to get new shoes, which every woman needs!
I know there are lots of others who have had a difficult time in these recent years. And I would like to help if I can. That’s why I built this website. That’s why I want to tell you as much as I can about what and how I have learned. I want to help you avoid my mistakes, and not bumble around, as I did for years, before you wise up!
My hope is that some of the information that I can share will help someone else get through these tough times.
